Andrew Hall is a Professor of Political Science and, by courtesy, a Professor of Political Economy at the Graduate School of Business. He is the co-director of the Democracy & Polarization Lab and a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.

Hall’s research focuses on designing better systems of democratic governance. This includes work on how to reduce polarization and increase accountability in US elections, how to administer elections, and more recently, how to build effective governance systems for online communities (including social media and blockchain governance).
